Joe Philbin, Green Bay Packers
Joe Philbin (57) took over as the interim head coach on Dec. 2, 2018, when the Packers fired Mike McCarthy after 12-plus seasons. Philbin had returned to Green Bay at the start of the 2018 season for his second stint as the team’s offensive coordinator. After 18 years coaching in the college ranks, he was hired by Green Bay as an assistant offensive line coach in 2003. Working his way up the ladder, he was promoted to offensive coordinator when McCarthy was the head coach, and he served in that role from 2007-11.
In 2012, Philbin was hired as head coach of the Miami Dolphins, where he compiled a record of 24-28 in three-plus seasons. He was let go by the Dolphins four games into the 2015 season, and then served as the offensive line/assistant head coach for the Indianapolis Colts in 2016-17.
