At Green Bay
48 degrees, overcast
• Buffalo entered this matchup with a passable defensive game plan. Green Bay was able to go up 2 touchdowns in the 1st quarter but was held to field goals for the rest of the game, which at least kept things within reach for Buffalo.
• The most significant coaching observation revolved around Buffalo’s management of their rookie quarterback Josh Allen. Allen was sacked 7 times in this game, including once for a fumble, and at one point threw interceptions on back-to-back drives. Allen appeared quite rattled by the amount of pass rush pressure he was facing, and we question why Buffalo did not downshift into a more basic offensive scheme, or at least one that reduced the number of hits Allen was having to take. This was an example of a coach asking too much of a rookie quarterback and resulted in significant downgrades to the Bufallo’s personnel and in-game adjustment scores.
