What is going on in Atlanta? Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is atop the weekly rankings for a consecutive week after another impressive win against a NFC South opponent in the Carolina Panthers. The Falcons’ defense completely overwhelmed Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen by sacking him five times and forcing four interceptions. Even with star running back Christian McCaffrey gaining 191 total yards, the Falcons kept the Panthers out of the endzone. The Falcons are now 2-0 in divisional play.
Frank Reich’s Indianapolis Colts bounced back after a rough game last week to win a key divisional matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens absolutely dismantled the Houston Texans in what was a highly anticipated matchup between two MVP candidates in QB Lamar Jackson and QB DeShaun Watson. The result was one-sided.
Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots came off a bye week and won, surprise. It wasn’t the prettiest, particularly on offense, but they got their revenge against the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl LII rematch.
