Key Coaching Decision #1: (CHI ball, trailing 27-20 / first-and-goal, NYG 1 / 0:03 Q4)
• On the final play of regulation, the Bears made and Innovative play call reminiscent of the Eagles’ “Philly Special” in last year’s Super Bowl. Running back Tarik Cohen took a reverse and ended up throwing a touchdown pass to wide receiver Anthony Miller to tie the game.
• We felt going into this game that Bears backup quarterback Chase Daniel would have a difficult time playing outdoors and in the rain. That proved mostly to be the case, particularly when he threw a Pick 6 at the outset of the game.
• Even though the Giants have had a difficult season and head coach Pat Shurmur has had a fair share of criticism, the Giants continue to play hard and exhibit growing team chemistry. This bodes well for the 2019 season.
• It appears to us that as the season has worn on, the Bears offensive line is beginning to show some decline in its performance. This unit’s performance will be something to watch as we head into the final games of the regular season.
