Mike Zimmer, Minnesota Vikings
Mike Zimmer (62) began his coaching career in the NFL in 1994 as the defensive backs coach for the Dallas Cowboys. He held the position until 1999 before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2000 until 2006. In 2007, he joined the Atlanta Falcons as their defensive coordinator. From 2008-13 he was the defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2009 he earned Assistant Coach of the Year.
Zimmer was hired as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings in 2014. In his second season, he guided the Vikings to their first NFC North title since 2009, and ended the Green Bay Packers’ four year reign of the division. The Vikings eventually lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild-Card Game. In 2017, he guided the Vikings to a 13-3 record, a second division title in three years, but lost to the Eagles. He owns a 40-27 record prior to the 2018 season. HCR: 2017-2018
