Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints

Sean Payton (54) began his NFL coaching career in 1997 as the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. After two seasons, he joined the New York Giants as the quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator by the Giants in 2000 and held the position until 2002. In 2003, he was hired as the quarterbacks coach for the Dallas Cowboys. By 2005, he was promoted to assistant head coach.

Payton was named the head coach for the New Orleans Saints in 2006. After a disastrous 2005 season, Payton guided the Saints to a NFC South title and the NFC Championship game in his first season. As a result, he won AP Coach of the Year. Two seasons later, he guided them to a Super Bowl XLIV win over the Indianapolis Colts. The Saints would reach the playoffs the following three seasons but never made it past the Divisional Round. In 2017, the Saints won the NFC South but lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional Round. He owns a 112-76 record prior to the 2018 season. HCR: 2017-2018
