68 degrees, light rain
- Jason Garrett and Scott Linehan’s offensive game plan was inexplicable. They never established any running game, and while Dak Prescott had an excellent rookie year, to ask him to execute flawlessly in the passing game against perhaps the best secondary in the league on the road may have been too big of an ask.
- Vance Joseph and Mike McCoy were creative offensively and did an excellent job of integrating all of their playmakers into the game early. Their rhythm was good, QB Trevor Siemian didn’t try to do too much, and there were opportunities to showcase the athleticism of WRs Sanders, Thomas and RB Anderson.
- Vance Joseph and Joe Woods’ defensive game plan also was excellent. They showed tremendous confidence in their personnel, and that confidence was rewarded as the Cowboys’ touted offensive line was made to look subpar on this day.
- One thing to watch with the Broncos as they move forward into the season: QB Siemian seems to commit one bad turnover a game; it happened Week 1 and in this game as well.
