- The New York Giants stumbled out of the blocks a bit in this game, calling a timeout to avoid a Delay of Game at the 13:41 mark of the first quarter, getting flagged for a false start immediately after, and then turning the ball over in their own territory to set up an LA score. They were able to respond with a score of their own that put the game at 7-7, but the Rams basically ran away with it after that.
- Los Angeles’ offense was firing on all cylinders. Sean McVay had an arsenal of gadget plays that complemented the standard play calls. All were effective. Early in the game the Rams converted a 3rd & 33 for a touchdown. It felt like a day where the offense could do whatever it wanted on the field. Credit to Sean McVay for the level of preparation and the high level of execution demonstrated by his team on this day.
