Key Coaching Decision: (MIN ball, leading 24-14/ Fourth and 2, GB 7/ 4:56 Q4)
• They elected to try to convert rather than kick the field goal and push the lead to 13. The try failed, and Green Bay quickly brought the game to within seven points. This was a poor coaching decision and resulted in a downgrade to Minnesota’s play calling score.
• Minnesota used two timeouts early in the first half and were without timeouts for their final drive of the first half. They were moving the ball but forced to settle for a field goal (which was missed). With timeouts they likely would have put points on the board.
• Green Bay had some issues with game clock management as well. They burned a timeout and were charged with a delay of game in the third quarter. They ultimately were unable to stop the clock on Minnesota’s final drive and this dashed their late game rally.
