- This was the Giants’ best game of the season, from start to finish, but that isn’t saying much, as most of their games simply haven’t been very smooth in terms of the pace and rhythm. But in this game, numerous starters were dinged, and the Giants did a good job adjusting with second team personnel such as RB Wayne Gallman.
- Giants Head Coach McAdoo had his best performance of the year, but it wasn’t enough once again. In this game, they were competitive throughout the game, as opposed to being flat for long stretches of time as in previous games.
- The Buccaneers continue to show growth and maturation. QB Jameis Winston executed a game winning drive perfectly when presented the opportunity, and their clock management on that drive was also well-executed.
- The Buccaneers also are beginning to show the versatility within their roster. Rookie TE OJ Howard came up with a TD catch finally, after a slow start to the season.
