- Miami did a great job establishing the running game, and really were productive on offense throughout the entire game. Despite being down 17-0 during the first half, they were able to consistently put together 40+ yard drives. Credit to their game planning and personnel for seeing something in Atlanta’s rush defense that they were able to exploit.
- Dolphins converted 2/3 fourth down attempts in this game, and some were arguably too risky even though they were successful. In one instance they converted a 4th & 1 at the Atlanta 17. They went on to score a touchdown, but we generally disagree with passing up points, especially when losing a game on the road.
- Atlanta was held scoreless in the second half, and Miami scored all of their points in the second half. Credit to Miami Head Coach Adam Gase for winning the in-game adjustment battle.
