Key Coaching Decision: (PHI fourth-and-4 from TB 49, PHI trails 13 points, 13:36 Q3)
• The Eagles tried unsuccessfully to convert a fourth-and-four near midfield on their first possession of the second half. This was an aggressive play call for so early into the second half of the game. Tampa Bay scored a touchdown on the ensuing possession which created a three-score deficit for the Eagles. This was a classic high-risk, low-reward play call that created a significant disadvantage for the Eagles. Philadelphia had multiple questionable 4th down decisions in this game, and these decisions are reflected in their play calling score.
• Tampa Bay scored on the opening play of the game with a 75-yard pass to Desean Jackson. The Buccaneers came out with an aggressive game plan and executed it well throughout the game, including an impressive touchdown-scoring drive at the close of the first half.
• Philadelphia did not seem able to match Tampa Bay’s level of preparation, noted by the fact that Tampa Bay scored touchdowns on two separate 75-yard plays. This is a credit to Tampa Bay’s game planning and a deduction from that of Philadelphia.
