- Both head coaches in this game are pretty gifted playcallers. Rams head coach Sean McVay did a good job utilizing RB Todd Gurley in this game, continually getting him into space. Redskins head coach Jay Gruden also did a good job catching a good Rams defense at times by using RB Chris Thompson effectively.
- Alternatively, both defensive coordinators in this game were uneven at times with playcalls.
- McVay had room for improvement with his clock management. With 10 minutes left in the second quarter, the McVay had already burned all of his time outs. Additionally, QB Jared Goff’s performance might improve if he can be coached to get to the line of scrimmage within a consistent time frame.
